Fresh off her win last week RJo was ready to get back behind the wheel and try for back to back wins. Tonight at Silver Dollar Speedway was the Tommy Corea/Johnny McDonald Memorial Race. This is one race that Rylee really wants to win.
At check in Rylee’s good draw luck finally ran out lol. She drew a 79 which would end up being high number in her class and having her start Heat 1 from last. She did her job though and drove the Cox Racing Engine powered 170 machine to a second place finish. Congrats Matthew McDonald on the win.
Before Heat 2 dad and the crew adjusted on the kart to see if we couldn’t get her just a little more speed. She would start Heat 2 from the pole and get a great start and lead most of the race but with two laps to go and after a great battle with Berkley Reese, RJo would finish in 2nd place again.
With her average finishes in the heat and her high draw number Rylee would have to start the main in 3rd. Dad and the crew adjusted the kart some more before the start of the main. At the drop of the green Rylee battled her way into first and lead most of the race but after another good side by side battle with Berkley, Rylee would loose the lead with two laps to go and come home 2nd in the main.
We are all very proud of how RJo drive in all the races tonight. She definitely made Berkley work for the win. Congrats to all the kiddos in young guns it was an awesome show.
