Went to Slaton Speedway Saturday night for another night of racing and the night had its ups and downs. Started out good drawing a 3 which would put us starting pole for heat one. Track was still super muddy when we went out as kart count was a little low. Was able to hold on the finish second.
Heat two dad made a gear change as we would start last and work our way to another second place finish. Kart had the speed to win just kept getting a little loose out of the corner so couldn’t execute the pass.
Those finishes would have us starting pole for the main and after a few small changes the kart was a rocket from the start jumping out to a nice lead until the kart came around causing RJo to spin out and have to restart in the back. She was determined and drove it back to second place before the checked flag fell. Unfortunately that means her win streak for Slaton ended at nine main events in a row dating back to last season!!!
