Final got to kick off our 2026 season last night at Slaton Speedway. With a lot of work this off season and a brand new kart we were excited to see how everything would play out. We checked in and drew a 14.
That would put me starting pole in the first heat. Took a couple laps to feel out the new kart and know its limits so I slipped back to second on the start but after that started chasing down the leader. We had a caution for debris with about 4 to go. I was on the leaders rear bumper the rest of the race and got underneath him in turn one and two on the white flag lap but just could quite get the pass done and would finish second.
For the second heat I would start last but I was much more comfortable in the kart and would take the lead by turn two and never look back winning my first heat race if the season!!!
With my finishes for the heats I would start pole for the main and let me tell you this new kart is a rocket!!! I would lead every lap coming away with the A-Main win!!!
I absolutely love my new Phantom Racing Chassis Minioutlaw 2.0 and can’t wait to see what this season has in store!
